Mr. Kenneth Richards - President
Mr. Kenneth brings over 15 years of Solar Industry experience to UCG Solar. Prior to joining UCG, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Green Earth Solar, where he expanded Green Earth Solar US market share from 5 percent to 15 percent within two years. Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Mek Tesfaye - Project Director (Renewable Energy Audit / Installation)
Mr.Tesfaye brings over 10 years of Renewable Energy Audit and Solar PV Installation. Mek has coordinated implemented Renewable Energy Audit and Solar PV Installation on various Projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Mek is an expert in Renewable Energy Audit and a certified Solar PV design / architecture by NABCEP (North American Board of Energy Practitioners). Mek holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Ike Udeh – Director of Business Development
Mr. Udeh has over 10 years experience in international development, his area of specialty includes designing and analyzing international development proposals for sub-saharan Africa, organizing advocacy groups on various international development subject matters, providing assessment for infrastructural developments needs in developing Countries. In addition, Ike brings to UCG a 7 years experience in Medical facility leadership and Administration. Ike holds a Master of Art in Education and Library Science Degree, from Kharkov State institute of Culture, Kharkov, in the Ukraine (Certified by the University of Illinois); and Clinical Counseling Certificate.
Ike is a member of the American Library Association, DC Educators Union, the Society for International Development; and the Development Executive Group in Washington DC.
Mr. Akinola Jones – Director of Marketing (Sub Saharan Africa Region)
Akinola Jones is an Investment Banker with over $50BN in deal experience. Mr. Jones has an outstanding record, and has transacted with notable firms like NewsCorp, Cox Enterprises and Time Warner Telecom. In addition, Mr. Jones worked and had affiliations with firms such as Wachovia Securities, UBS Investment Bank, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Jones graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with a degree in International Business/ Finance.
Mr. Jones is in charge of marketing for the UCG Solar Sub Saharan African Region.
Mr. Frank Obasohan – Director of Operations (ICT)
Mr. Obasohan has over 12 years experience in Business process automation utilizing ERP Packages, Software Architectural Development, Project Management, Business development with emphasis on Supply Chain Management. In addition, Mr. Obasohan has experience consulting for Accenture and Lucent Technologies; two reputable consulting and telecommunication companies in the United States. Frank has vast experience in Business Process Reengineering, Project Management and Program Management (tools, practices), ERP Software Implementation (Software Customization, knowledge Transfer end user Training), his past clients includes The United States NAVY – Annapolis Maryland, The United States ARMY – Fort Detrick Base Maryland, and The United States Defense Logistics Agency – Columbus Ohio. Frank holds a Master of Science Degree in Management Information Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, Masters of Art Degree in International Relations from Kiev State University in the Ukraine.
Frank is a member of the Society for International Development, the Association of Information Systems Atlanta Georgia and the Development Executive Group in Washington, DC.
